The vueltiao hat, or "sombrero vueltiao," is a traditional Colombian hat woven from the fibers of the caña flecha palm. Originating from the Zenú indigenous people of the Caribbean region, especially in the departments of Córdoba and Sucre, the hat is recognized for its intricate black and white patterns and its spiral design, which gives it its name ("vueltiao" means "turned" or "twisted" in Spanish). Lightweight, flexible, and durable, the vueltiao hat is not only a symbol of Colombian culture and heritage but also a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of the artisans who make it.
The Sombrero Vueltiado can be folded and comes with a carrying bag made from the same material as the hat. It also features an adjustable strap at the base of the crown, allowing for easy size adjustment and a perfect fit.
